SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed concerning the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The services position established for intervention experiences a large click here influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to empower the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
